Policies

Clinics & Group Classes

1) Program Registration

  • All clinic and group class registrations must be completed through your Wallace Park Tennis Club account at website www.wallaceparktennis.ca.
  • Members may register on the posted registration date for each clinic or class.
  • Non-members may register after members have had a reasonable opportunity to do so. Non-members are subject to a surcharge included in the listed price. 
  • Registration closes 48 hours before a clinic or class start date.
  • If spots remain available after that time, members and non-members may still register by emailing [email protected].

2) Withdrawal and Refund

  • Withdrawals more than 7 days before the start date: full refund minus a 15% administrative fee
  • Withdrawals less than 7 days before the start date: no refund or credit will be issued.

3) Insufficient Registration 

  • The head pro reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient registration. 
  • Participants will receive either a full refund or a credit toward a future program.

4) Inclement weather 

  • Each 6 week session includes one scheduled rain make-up class.
  • Sessions with 5 or fewer weeks do not have a rain-up class in the schedule.
  • If 50% or more of a class is completed, it is considered completed.
  • If less than 50% of a class is completed, it will be considered a rain-out.
  • For more than one rain-out, a credit or refund (where applicable) will be issued for each additional missed class.

5) Class cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances 

  • A club credit or refund will be issued for the value of the affected classes.

6) Illness or injury 

  • If you are unable to attend a class due to injury or illness, a make-up class may be possible if the same class is offered at another time and space is available.

7) Proper Attire & Equipment

  • All participants must bring a tennis racquet to each session. The club has a limited number of racquets available for temporary use; however, availability is not guaranteed.
  • All participants must wear appropriate tennis attire and proper athletic footwear while on court. Running shoes or tennis shoes with non-marking soles are required. Footwear such as boots, sandals, Crocs, flip-flops, or any open-toed or non-athletic shoes are not permitted.
  • Participants who do not have appropriate footwear may not be permitted to participate in the session due to safety and liability considerations. No refunds, credits, or make-up classes will be provided in these circumstances.

8) Parent/Guardian Viewing Policy

  • For the safety and focus of all participants, parents and guardians are not permitted on the tennis courts during lessons, clinics, or camps. All spectators must remain in the designated viewing area for the duration of the session. Coaches and staff reserve the right to pause or stop a lesson if this policy is not respected.

Summer Camps

1) Program Registration

  • Registration closes at midnight on the Friday before the camp begins.
  • If space remains available, members and non-members may still register by emailing [email protected].

2) Withdrawal and Refund

  • Withdrawals more than 7 days before the camp start date: full refund minus a 15% administrative fee.
  • Withdrawals less than 7 days before the start date: no refund or credit will be issued.

Private Lessons

1) Cancellations by Members

  • If cancelled within 24 hours, the full lesson fee will be charged

2) Weather Policy 

  • If 0–14 minutes of the lesson are completed before conditions become unplayable, no fee will be charged.
  • If 15–29 minutes are completed, 50% of the fee will be charged.
  • If 30 minutes or more are completed, the full fee will be charged.

Registration for Summer Camps and Adult & Junior Classes will officially open on March 23rd.

We’re also pleased to share that a dedicated Forge phone line will be available soon, making it even easier to connect with our team.

In addition, our Pro Shop will be reopening this spring. We’ll be offering a curated selection of apparel and providing professional racquet stringing services to help keep your game at its best.
