Program Overview
Our Beginner Junior Red Ball Tennis Program is designed to introduce young players (ages 5-7) to the exciting world of tennis in a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate way. Using smaller courts, red tennis balls, and appropriate equipment, this program ensures that kids experience success and joy while learning the fundamentals of the game.
Equipment: Red tennis balls (larger, softer, slower than regular balls), smaller nets, smaller courts. Students must bring their own racquets, size 17 & 19 recommended.
Focus Areas
  • Hand eye coordination: Fun activities to help kids develop the basic skills to track and hit the ball.
  • Basic Techniques: Introduction to basic strokes like forehand, backhand, and volleying
  • Teamwork: Encouraging collaboration through partner and team drills and games.
Program Goals
  • Skill development: Provide kids with a fun environment to learn and practice essential tennis skills while building coordination, balance, and agility.
  • Confidence building: Through structured drills and games, help kids gain confidence as they improve their tennis skills in a positive, supportive atmosphere.

Program Overview
Our Beginner/Intermediate Junior Orange Ball Tennis Program is designed for young players (ages 7-9) who are ready to take their tennis skills to the next level. Using orange tennis balls, which are slower and softer than regular balls, and medium-sized courts, this program helps children build on their fundamental skills while increasing their understanding of the game in a fun and supportive environment.
Equipment: Orange tennis balls (50% softer and slower than regular balls), smaller court. Students must bring their own racquets, size 21 & 23 recommended.
Focus Areas
  • Basic Techniques: Introduction to proper grips and serving
  • Strokes: Refining the fundamentals on forehands, backhands, volleys
  • Rallying: Building a foundation in rallying, scoring, and learning the rules of the game in a simplified way
Program Goals
  • Skill Development: Strengthen the technical foundation of basic strokes and introduce serving.
  • Point Play Experience: Introduce players to point play scenarios where they can apply their skills in a competitive, yet friendly, environment.
  • Sportsmanship: Through structured drills and point play scenarios promote teamwork, good sportsmanship, and a positive attitude on and off the court.

Program Overview

Using green tennis balls, which are slightly faster than orange balls but still slower and softer than regular tennis balls, this program helps budding players refine their techniques and gain more experience on a full-size court to help them easily transition to regular balls.
Equipment: Green tennis balls (25% softer and slower then regular balls), full sized court. Students must bring their own racquets, size 25 & 26 recommended.
Focus Areas
  • Stroke Refinement: Improving the consistency of all the fundamental strokes in tennis
  • Footwork: Enhancing movement on the court and positioning.
  • Match Play: Introduction to structured matches, focusing on applying the fundamentals in competitive scenarios, learning how to keep score, and playing points.
  • Tactics & Strategy: Encouraging strategic thinking, such as shot selection, opening up the court, attacking/defending.
Program Goals
  • Skill Refinement: Fine-tune the techniques of all basic strokes while focusing on control and placement.
  • Game Understanding: Deepen players' understanding of the rules, scoring, and etiquette while preparing them for full matches.
